Israel Ports Company

Inasmuch as Israel’s national economy is dependent on foreign trade and 99% of that trade moves through its seaports, the IPC’s activities are of essential importance to the country's continuing economic growth.
The IPC was established in 2005 as the successor organization of the Israel Ports Authority. Since then it has assembled a network of experts, including its core employees inherited from the Israel Ports Authority, with extensive experience who are charged with leading the national port development effort.
IPC: Planning, Design, Implementation
The IPC has begun implementation of a unique long term strategic development master plan with a 50 year planning horizon which is based on incremental short and mid-term development stages.
The IPC is responsible for managing all Israeli port development projects from initial conceptual design through final commissioning, During the last five years it has completed the Eitan Terminal in Ashdod (1,700m of operational quay) and the Carmel Terminal in Haifa (700m of operational quay), as well as numerous other port projects.
The IPC has applied leading-edge technology to formulate IT and equipment solutions facilitating efficient port operations and the smooth flow of commerce through Israel's ports. It has won a number of international awards for its technology applications.
The IPC uses state-of-the-art technology for assuring port security, control and response both seaside and landside. Modern paperless gates utilize automatic identification systems for trucks, drivers and cargoes to limit access to authorized traffic.
